Service Manager

to join our leadership team. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work from home while staying available for on-site needs. Although core hours are Monday to Friday, additional hours and on-call responsibilities may be required to support your team and clients effectively.

What will you do?




Client-Centered Management:

Engaging directly with various stakeholders (agencies, families, professionals) to support clients with developmental disabilities, ensuring their needs are met in line with Entrust's values and best practices.

Team Oversight:

Leading a team that includes Community Disability Support Workers (CSW), Community Access Coordinators (CAC), and Assistant Managers and overseeing 5-7 residential programs or community access placements. This entails providing ongoing coaching, feedback, and professional development.

Operational Coordination:

Ensuring all documentation is accurate and timely, monitoring placements, and creating transition plans as needed. The SM is also responsible for handling client and employee issues.

Reporting and Regulatory Compliance:

Writing professional reports and correspondence, applying regulatory requirements, and working with data to make informed, independent decisions.

Communication and Advocacy:

Respond to emergencies and critical incidents according to the established protocols. Address concerns and conflicts promptly and professionally. Provide guidance and support to staff during challenging situations and ensure follow-up actions and debriefings after incidents.

Regional Travel and Program Coordination:

Travel across multiple program homes in Calgary, providing hands-on oversight and support. Occasional travel to Edmonton is required as needed. Foster a collaborative and cohesive environment among program teams, ensuring consistent service delivery and maintaining high standards across all homes.

What are we looking for?




Education:

Post-secondary education in Business, Hospitality, Human Services, or a related field is an asset.

Leadership Experience:

Prior experience managing diverse teams, especially in care or operations, is required.

Industry Knowledge:

Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a strong asset.

Communication Skills:

Exceptional communication and prioritization skills, with the ability to navigate regulatory requirements.

People-Focused Leadership:

Proven ability to build trust-based relationships and foster collaboration.

Organizational Savvy:

Strong organizational and prioritization skills to meet fast-paced timelines and ensure quality service.

Analytical Mindset:

Ability to gather and analyze data for informed decision-making.

Inclusive Leadership:

Committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive work environment.

Driving Credentials

: A valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license, along with a personal vehicle that has current Alberta registration and $2 million in third-party liability insurance for client transport, may be required.

+ Intermediate First Aid / CPR Level C Certification.

These documents must meet Entrusts standards and are the candidate's financial responsibility to obtain prior to hiring.


Position Highlights




Salary:

$ 60,000.00 annual compensation

Reports to:

Program Manager

Location and Hours of Work:

+ This position has a combination of working from home, office, and on-site at residences in Calgary. Occasional travel to Edmonton is required as needed.
+ As this is a Managerial role, it is exempt from OT and brings with it the responsibility of being on call along with additional hours, as needed.

Start Date:

As soon as the suitable candidate is identified.
