Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Cake Decorator to join our bakery team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating visually stunning and delicious cakes, ensuring each masterpiece meets high standards of quality and presentation. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment where creativity, precision, and customer satisfaction are paramount. The Cake Decorator will collaborate with bakers and staff to produce custom cakes for various occasions, providing exceptional service to our customers.

Responsibilities

Decorate cakes according to customer specifications, including piping, frosting, and applying fondant or other decorative elements Prepare cake fillings, frostings, and other related food items in accordance with recipes and food safety standards Ensure all baked goods are visually appealing and meet quality standards before presentation or delivery Maintain cleanliness and organization of the decorating station and work area in compliance with food safety regulations Assist in the preparation of baked goods as needed, including mixing, baking, and packaging products for sale or delivery Interact with customers to understand their decorating preferences and provide expert recommendations when necessary Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene at all times Manage multiple decorating projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines

Skills

Proven experience in cake decorating with a strong portfolio showcasing your work Knowledge of food preparation, baking, and food safety practices within the food industry Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Experience with food handling, packaging, and presentation techniques Kitchen experience including food preparation, cooking, and baking is highly desirable Strong attention to detail with an artistic eye for design and aesthetics Familiarity with kitchen equipment used in cake decoration and baking processes
