Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and creative Cake Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cake decorating, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality products. As a Cake Decorator, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing cakes that meet our customers' specifications while adhering to food safety standards.

Responsibilities

Decorate cakes according to customer orders and specifications. Utilize various decorating techniques, including piping, fondant application, and airbrushing. Prepare cakes, ensuring consistency in flavor and texture. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the cake area, following food safety protocols. Assist with cake preparation as needed, including mixing and preparing icings. Package finished products for display or delivery to customers. Provide excellent customer service by interacting with customers to understand their needs and preferences. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of orders.

Qualifications

Previous experience in cake decorating or a related field is preferred. Strong skills in food preparation and handling, particularly in a kitchen or restaurant environment. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor. Creativity and artistic ability in cake design and decoration. Willingness to learn new techniques and improve skills as needed.

Pay: $15.75-$16.70 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week
