Job Summary

We are seeking a creative and skilled Cake Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and decorating cakes, with a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices. As a Cake Decorator, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing cakes that meet customer specifications while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.

Duties

Design and decorate cakes according to customer orders and specifications, ensuring each cake is visually appealing and meets quality standards. Prepare various cake batters, icings, and fillings in accordance with recipes and food safety guidelines. Package finished cakes appropriately for display or delivery, ensuring they remain intact during transport. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations at all times. Collaborate with team members to fulfill large orders or special requests, providing excellent customer service throughout the process. Stay updated on industry trends in cake decoration to continually enhance skills and offerings.

Experience

Previous experience in cake decorating is required. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and food handling regulations. Familiarity with basic baking techniques and kitchen equipment used in food preparation. Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients regarding their cake designs. A creative mindset with an eye for detail, allowing for unique and personalized cake designs.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 18 - 35 per week
