New Horizon Co-op is hiring a Cafeteria Team Member at Peace Wapiti Academy in Grande Prairie, Alberta.

What you'll do:

Provide an excellent dining experience for students and staff Prepare a wide variety of hot and cold meals, including sandwiches, salads, fruits, vegetables, and entrees in accordance with school nutrition guidelines Ensure all food items are accurately portioned, properly stored, and rotated to maintain freshness and safety Ensure all meals and food products are attractively presented, appropriately labeled, and consistently stocked during serving times Maintain high standards of food quality, freshness, quantity, and presentation to support healthy eating habits Assist with cafeteria merchandising efforts such as promoting daily specials or themed meal days to engage students Perform additional duties as required, including cleaning, sanitizing, and assisting with kitchen operations

Who you are and what you have:

Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a friendly and respectful attitude toward students and staff Positive and enthusiastic approach to work in a school environment Previous food service, cafeteria, or customer service experience preferred Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team Some light to moderate lifting may be required (up to 50 lbs) Must be a minimum of 18 years of age Availability to work Monday to Friday, approximately 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM (some evening or weekend shifts may be needed) Successful candidates will be required to complete a criminal record check, including a vulnerable sector screening
