Job Overview



This posting is for our Garneau location. The Cafe Manager at ACE Coffee Roasters plays a pivotal role in overseeing daily cafe operations, maintaining quality and service standards, and supporting the development of your team within the company. This role involves mentoring, coaching, and guiding Baristas to ensure they excel and are prepared for future responsibilities. The Cafe Manager works directly with our Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

:

Oversee all daily cafe operations, ensuring smooth workflow and service. Implement and enforce company policies, operational procedures, and health and safety compliance. Monitor cafe performance and implement operational improvements based on collaboration and/or directives from the Operations Manager. Recruit, onboard, and train employees to ensure alignment with company standards. Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and support staff development Manage staff schedules, approve shift changes, and ensure proper coverage while fostering a positive work culture. Ensure exceptional customer service and uphold ACE Coffee Roasters' quality standards. Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally, implementing improvements as needed. Monitor service speed, quality, and guest satisfaction to ensure a consistent experience. Monitor inventory levels, track product usage, and order stock for your location. Support cost control efforts by identifying inefficiencies, monitoring waste, and ensuring return or refund procedures align with company policies. Execute in-store marketing strategies and seasonal promotions as directed

Qualifications, Education, and Experience:



Minimum 2 years of experience in a cafe or hospitality management role Understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance. High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in hospitality management preferred. Participation in professional development training preferred. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:



First Aid/CPR certification (preferred) Lifting and carrying supplies up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment:



Cafe setting with direct customer and team interactions. Exposure to heat, noise, and food preparation areas. Fast-paced environment requiring adaptability. Flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
