We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry and a strong commitment to food safety and quality. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of excellence. You will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, collaborating with other kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu specifications. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety and handling regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and cooking equipment. Assist in meal preparation for special events or large groups as needed. Ideal candidate will have catering and event proven experience. Detailed orientated Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to the kitchen manager. Collaborate with other kitchen staff and front of house staff to ensure timely service and high-quality dishes. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. This position requires weekend availability - not a M-F position

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the restaurant or food service industry. Artisan cafe experience is ideal, baking knowledge and experience an asset. Must have knowledge and experience in varied service styles and day parts Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when necessary. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by the restaurant's schedule. Clean, professional appearance is a must, strong customer service mandatory.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.80-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 40 per week
