About the Position

Livingstone Golf Course is looking to fill full and part time mature seasonal positions for various departments and roles. We are located in the beautiful Rocky Mountain Foothills, Sibbald Creek Trail just 20 km west of Calgary city limits on the Trans Canada Highway. We are a 9-hole golf course with mountain views and surrounded with all the beauty the foothills have to offer. Season is May 1 to mid-October (weather permitting).

We are seeking a creative and organized Cafe Chef to lead our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can deliver consistently high?quality dishes while maintaining excellent kitchen standards. This role includes maintaining and ordering food supplies, menu development and execution, preparation, and day-to-day kitchen leadership and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and execute golf course cafe-style menu items with consistency and quality Assist with menu planning, specials, and seasonal offerings Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and kitchen safety procedures Manage food prep, portioning, and stock rotation Monitor inventory levels and manage ordering needs Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment Work collaboratively with front?of?house staff to ensure timely service Train and mentor kitchen staff

Qualifications

Previous experience as a cook or chef (cafe, restaurant, or banquet experience preferred) Strong culinary skills and a passion for fresh, well-presented food Ability to work independently and handle a fast-paced service environment Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen sanitation Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods Flexibility to work weekends, mornings, and peak event days
