Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Cafe Server / Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and customer service, creating a welcoming environment for our guests. As a Cafe Server / Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, serving our guests with counter and table service, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Please note this role requires weekend scheduling.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to standard recipes. Ideal candidate will have knowledge of coffee house beverage builds (outside of QSR establishments) Experience and skill in latte art. Operate the espresso machine and other equipment efficiently while ensuring quality control. Provide excellent customer service by taking orders accurately and promptly. Both counter and table service. Ideal candidate will have true server experience, working in fast paced working environments, table service, order and table management, setting and clearing tables etc. Handle cash transactions using the POS system, ensuring accurate cash handling practices. Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and dining areas. Assist in food preparation as needed, adhering to food safety guidelines. Engage with customers to create a friendly atmosphere and help them with their selections. Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, and other supplies; communicate needs to management.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service or the food industry is required. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately. Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations is a plus. Strong communication skills with the ability to work well in a team environment. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude and willingness to help others are essential traits for this role. Food Safety Certification Smartserve Certification Event and Catering experience is preferred
