Deville is a group of coffee crafters & baked goods dreamers. We've been serving our communities since 2008, growing locally across Alberta and BC.

Deville Coffee believes that our people are an essential part of our company. Customer service is an important part of our continued success as a local coffee shop and we are looking for energetic, friendly and service-minded individuals to join the team. We create cafes that are steeped in connection, with our friendly team serving up thoughtfully crafted direct trade coffee to the regulars whose orders we already know, and the ones we have yet to meet.

Brewing only direct trade coffee beans, our lattes and espresso drinks have been carefully crafted by hand since day one, with ingredients like organic vanilla, and house-made chocolate ganache. Our pastries are delivered daily by the city's best bakeries, and a menu of fresh, creative, sandwiches and goods round out the menu in our cafes.

We are looking for a manager to head the soon to open West Edmonton Mall store, planned opening early July.

You are a great fit if you have:

An inviting personality and love of creating connections with customers

2+ years in retail, hospitality, or equivalent management experience.

. Strong cafe experience

Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work efficiently, multi-task and learn quickly.

Ability to lead and manage others and lead through influencing.

Willingness to learn and adapt to changes

Availability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business: may require early mornings, weekends, and evenings, being available for emergencies.

Ability to listen and care about the point of view of others.

Minimum high school education.

Management duties include:

Growing the business by providing the best customer service to each guest from the first time they come in and infectious ability to include staff in those interactions

Making a genuine effort to get to know guest by name and drink order, welcoming them each time they visit the cafe.

Informing and training staff on all product roll outs

Developing and carrying out plans to meet sales, labour, profit, and cost targets.

Proper inventory management

Ensuring the cafe and its equipment is clean, safe, and well-maintained complying to all legal, regulatory and Deville requirements. Damage and maintenance issues should be dealt with immediately.

Ensuring all paperwork is completed according to Regional Manager and owner expectations

Identifying and hiring the correct amount and right team members for the cafe.

Ensuring everyone is adequately trained in all areas and strong customer service and drink quality standards are maintained.

Deploying staff so that baristas are always at the right place at the right time.

Identifying and resolving conflicts and issues, having the difficult conversations with employees while keeping morale levels high.

Food safe handling certificate is required within a month of being hired
