As Cafe Manager, you'll lead the day-to-day operations of the cafe, support our staff, and make sure our guests always feel welcomed and cared for. You'll also be the face of the cafe online, helping us tell our story, share what's happening in the shop, and highlight the team and the products we're proud of.
This is a role for someone who thrives in both people-focused and operational work: building a positive culture, keeping everything organized, and maintaining a consistently high standard of coffee, food, and service.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Leading, coaching, and supporting the cafe team
Creating weekly schedules and managing staffing levels
Overseeing daily operations to ensure a consistent, warm guest experience
Working closely with our roastery to maintain high standards in coffee quality
Planning and guiding the development of our new baking + food program (2026)
Managing inventory, ordering supplies, and working with local vendors
Ensuring the cafe is clean, organized, and following AHS standards
Helping with hiring, onboarding, and building a positive cafe culture
Being present on our social media channels and online community spaces
Driving to pick up additional supplies or products when needed
What We're Looking For
Experience in cafe/restaurant leadership or similar fast-paced environment
A strong understanding of specialty coffee (or a genuine desire to learn deeply)
Someone who communicates kindly, clearly, and calmly
A natural host, you enjoy making people feel welcome
Confidence in managing both people and systems
Organized, reliable, and proactive, you don't wait to be asked
A team-first mindset, leadership without ego
Nice to Have (but not required)
Menu or baking program development experience
Social media experience in a business setting
