About the Opportunity

Working in our Woodstock location, the CAD Technician will work with Maglin's engineering team to provide well-structured production drawings. We are currently hiring for a 6 month contract position.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

Prepare manufacturing drawings, specifications and guidelines for production and installation. Review and verify calculations, design models, drawings, and design documents for accuracy and quality. Adapt to and support dynamically changing team goals and priorities. Collaborate with Engineering and Production for the development of custom solutions. Collaborate with internal and external resources in the development of products. To complete a first off check for all New / Custom products and first-time vendors. To assist Engineering Manager in ensuring Production, Assembly, Marketing and Sales are equipped with current and accurate product files.
SPECIFIC SKILLS

Must be proficient in SolidWorks (preferably in a manufacturing setting) PDM / Draftsight / AutoCAD experience is an asset. Understanding of manufacturing processes (millwork, metal fabrication and weld fabrication) Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Strong analytical ability to problem solve Excellent communication skills within own department and to other departments. Knowledge of MRP / Engineering Masters is an asset CSWA / CSWP
EDUCATION

Graduate of Mechanical Engineering Technologist program or similar.
