Job Description

PURPOSE: To uses CAD systems to create/design plans for buildings, machinery and products, therefore producing the electronic versions of technical drawings. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepares Top Level Assembly and component level drawings utilizing the appropriate software tools such as AutoCAD and Catia.
• Logs and maintains CAD drawings in coordination with document control.
• Develops and prepares prototype/pre-production /production tooling drawings schematics in coordination with program engineering.
• Acts as liaison with supplier and customer program development teams where applicable.
• Creates and maintains manufacturing floor plans including work cells
• Reviews engineering bill of materials in coordination with purchasing based unit of measure.
• Co-ordinate engineering change orders (ECO\'s) including disposition to all applicable department personnel.
• Provide all open issues affecting design and/or timing via action plans.
• Update customer drawing files regularly
• Distribute blueprints to applicable departments or customers as required.
• Actively participates in the attainment and/or maintenance of Quality Standards certification.
• Fulfills responsibilities upholding the Health & Safety Policy and legislation.
• Develop personal skills through education, training and development, to maintain professional qualifications.
• Must work as a team player and maintain good employee relations.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
• Completes any other assignments, duties and projects that may be assigned.
• Maintains confidentiality of all information received from the customer/company

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Electrical/Mechanical Degree or equivalent
• Working knowledge of applicable CAD systems and software
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Computer literacy with Microsoft office software, AutoCAD, MRP.
• Strong organizational skills
