Brannon Steel is looking for a

CAD Operator

to join the team at its Brampton manufacturing facility. You will use mechanical design principles and CAD/CAM applications such as SolidWorks, MasterCAM, Radan / RadBend and Draftsight to turn customer drawings and specifications into production CAD files for a variety of industrial processes.

Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Responsibilities

Interpret customer designs and specifications. Operate industrial CAD / CAM software to output production drawings and layouts. Communicate with sales and engineering staff regarding work requirements. Provide information and support to production staff. Maintain standards for document control, quality, and traceability. Maintain accurate electronic and paper files.

Requirements

Completion of a post-secondary mechanical design or similar program OR equivalent experience. Proficient with Solidworks. Experience with other applications such as MasterCAM, ProNest, Radan / RadBend and Draftsight is an asset. Fluent in both imperial and metric systems. Working knowledge of GD&T. Read, write, and speak English at a conversational level. Complete work independently based on assigned priorities. Able to work Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm.
