Duties and Responsibilities

:

Create preliminary design sketches for conceptual analysis Create engineering drawings and designs for production and manufacturing Verify drawings are correct to specifications, codes, and other requirements A sense of urgency and ability to prioritize important work Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret architectural and engineering plans. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with project teams.

Skills and Qualifications

Ability to operate computer-aided design (CAD) software and manual drafting workstations efficiently. Ability to multitask and manage several projects at a time Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Interpersonal skills to work within a team, taking direction from Project Managers and Engineers Time management skills to complete error-free work within the required timeframe Communication skills with an emphasis on reading and writing for creating documentation and reports Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to develop creative solutions Must have post-secondary education equivalent to a 2-year college diploma in Drafting Technology with additional courses in AutoCAD Working knowledge of drafting standards and layouts Read and interpret blueprints Experience with both 2D and 3D required

Relevant certificate in 3D design software is a plus*

Education: Completion of a two- to three-year college program in engineering design and drafting technology is required

Experience: Several years of experience in the field are required

Languages: Written and Oral English is required.

Pay: $45,000.00-$68,000.00 per year
