Job Description
Summary:
The CAD Designer will be responsible for preparing electronic (CAD) working plans and technical drawings for various window and door building projects from preliminary concepts, sketches, calculations, specification sheets and other data.? The CAD Designer will review plans and confer with internal stakeholders to meet project specifications, complete documentation packages and produce drawing sets.?
Job Duties:
Produce detailed, final hand drawings and specifications using dedicated computer software (CAD) to produce design specifications, including parts lists and cost information.
Creating custom door/window designs into tool palettes.
Make basic computations to determine layout of charts, strength of materials and requirements for structural design.
Organize and maintain a design and CAD digital file database for each project.
Prepare electronic layouts, charts, detailed scale drawings, from sketches, specifications, and standard layouts provided.
Revise computer-aided designs and plans to comply with modified specifications made during actual construction.
Requirements:
Post-secondary degree in a related field
Experience with window wall / curtain wall design
Proficiency with AutoCAD
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
