Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer with expertise in SolidWorks and AutoCAD to join our engineering and design team. The ideal candidate will be able to interpret 2D engineering drawings, develop accurate 3D models in SolidWorks, and translate high-level assembly drawings into detailed part-level drawings using AutoCAD. This role requires strong technical understanding, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate closely with engineers.

Key Responsibilities

Interpret and analyze 2D drawings, sketches, and specifications to create precise 3D models in SolidWorks. Understand high-level assembly drawings and break them down into detailed, part-level AutoCAD drawings. Develop complete drawing packages including dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications. Ensure models and drawings adhere to company and industry standards. Maintain drawing databases, update revisions, and manage version control. Support prototyping and manufacturing teams by providing accurate, manufacturable drawings.

Qualifications & Skills

Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting/Design, or a related field. Proven experience as a CAD Designer or Draftsman with expertise in SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation. Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and manufacturing processes. Experience in creating assemblies, exploded views, and bill of materials (BOM). Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in sheet metal, fabrication, or mechanical component design. Familiarity with PDM (Product Data Management) systems. Prior experience in manufacturing and aerospace.

Pay: $17.98-$20.00 per hour
