Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative CAD Designer to join our dynamic design team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating detailed, precise, and comprehensive 3D computer-aided design (CAD) models for Customer projects and manufacturing processes. Some 3D Design projects will leverage laser scanning for reverse engineering. Other projects will involve manipulating customer provided CAD files in support of our 3D Printing operations. Your expertise will drive the transformation of conceptual ideas into technical realities, ensuring designs meet rigorous standards and specifications. Responsibilities

Develop detailed 3D CAD models and the occasional associated drawings using industry-standard parametric modeling software such as 3D Fusion, Rhino, SolidWorks, Design X and similar tools Collaborate with engineers and project managers to translate conceptual designs into accurate 3D models aligned with project specifications. Support project teams by providing modeling expertise for mechanical design & modifications. Maintain meticulous records of all CAD files, revisions, and technical documentation in compliance with company standards.

Requirements

Proven experience with 3D CAD software including 3D Fusion, Rhino, SolidWorks Strong mechanical engineering background with knowledge of system design principles and mechanical components. Familiarity with industry standards such as ASME codes & standards for mechanical design and fabrication. Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering specifications accurately. Experience in design for 3D printing and manufacturing environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of FEA tools for structural analysis is a plus. Excellent technical writing skills for creating clear documentation and reports. Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail with an active approach to problem-solving and 3d printer operation.
