Overview

We are looking for a talented Interior Designer with a strong background in cabinet design and sales. This role combines creative design work with customer service and sales, guiding clients through the process of selecting and designing cabinetry for kitchens, bathrooms, and other interior spaces. The ideal candidate has both technical design skills and strong communication abilities to deliver functional, beautiful, and customized solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Client Consultation & Sales

Meet with clients to understand their vision, style, and functional needs. Provide expert guidance on cabinetry, finishes, hardware, and layout options. Prepare and present design proposals, drawings, and 3D renderings. Generate sales by effectively presenting solutions and closing contracts.

Design & Technical Work

Create detailed cabinet and interior designs using CAD or design software. Develop floor plans, elevations, and specifications for cabinetry installations. Ensure designs are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and within budget. Collaborate with builders, contractors, and installation teams to ensure accuracy.

Project Management & Coordination

Oversee orders, deliveries, and installation timelines for cabinetry projects. Manage vendor relationships and ensure accurate product specifications. Resolve any design or installation issues quickly and professionally.

Customer Experience & Relationship Building

Provide exceptional service throughout the design and sales process. Build lasting relationships with clients, contractors, and referral partners. Follow up after project completion to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.

Qualifications

Proven experience in interior design with a focus on kitchen and bath cabinetry. Strong knowledge of cabinetry construction, design trends, and finishes. Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, 2020 Design, SketchUp). Excellent sales and negotiation skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.

Preferred Skills

Experience in kitchen and bath showrooms or cabinet dealerships. Knowledge of building codes and installation standards. Ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously. Strong eye for detail and design aesthetics.
