Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting disciplines, including cabinet painting, residential, commercial, restoration, and industrial painting. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, spraying and coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client specifications. The Painter will work on diverse projects, utilizing a range of tools and techniques to deliver exceptional results. Strong communication skills and the ability to read schematics and blueprints are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, spray guns, and power tools. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements. Perform restoration work on damaged or aged surfaces to restore them to their original condition. Utilize hand tools and carpentry skills for minor repairs or modifications prior to painting. Operate rigging equipment safely when working at heights or on scaffolding. Manage multiple projects efficiently through effective time management and prioritization. Maintain a clean work environment and ensure all safety protocols are followed during operations. Communicate with clients and team members to ensure project specifications are met and expectations are exceeded.

Experience

Proven experience in construction painting, residential painting, commercial painting, restoration, or industrial painting. Familiarity with construction site safety procedures and the use of hand tools and power tools. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Knowledge of caulking techniques and surface preparation methods. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Experience working with schematics and understanding technical instructions related to rigging or carpentry is a plus. Demonstrated time management skills to handle multiple projects efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
