We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker to join our woodworking and cabinetry team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, woodworking, and construction, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics to produce high-quality custom cabinetry and furniture. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential kitchens to commercial installations, utilizing a variety of hand and power tools. Duties
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately construct cabinets and related woodwork.
Measure, cut, assemble, and install cabinetry using hand tools, power tools, and CNC machinery as needed.
Perform finishing tasks such as sanding, staining, painting, or sealing to ensure a polished final product.
Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure specifications are met and projects are completed on time.
Assist with restoration projects involving cabinetry or woodwork.
Install cabinets securely on-site, ensuring proper alignment and functionality.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and proper tool handling procedures.
Skills
Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating.
Experience with woodworking techniques including cabinet assembly, installation, restoration, and finishing.
Skilled in the use of hand tools (e.g., chisels, saws) and power tools (e.g., drills, routers).
Familiarity with CNC machinery for precise cutting and shaping of wood components.
Knowledge of construction practices such as masonry, rebar installation, roofing, siding, flooring installation, tile laying, plumbing, electrical work, caulking, and heavy lifting is a plus.
Ability to perform accurate measurements and detailed craftsmanship.
Strong understanding of safety procedures related to construction and woodworking environments.
Maintenance Person experience or background in related trades such as concrete forming or masonry is advantageous.
