Job Overview



The kitchen Technician is a locally owned family business. We specialize and are well known in cabinet refacing and the kitchen renovation field. While our specialty is refacing and refinishing we increasingly do full kitchen, closet, and vanity replacement work. We are looking for a Cabinet Maker / Installer to join our team. A minimum of 5 years installation experience is preferred and ongoing training and assistance provided to the right person. Keen attention to detail is a must. Our customers trust us in their homes with their most valuable possession and we expect our staff to work to maintain that trust. Come learn and work with us. We value our staff and expect a professional courteous demeanour will be rewarded. A knowledge of power tools and shop equipment is required. We can supply tools as required to supplement your own tools. A clean provincial drivers license is required. An ability to understand drawings, design layout is imperative as well as an ability to adjust and respond to issues as they arise. Thinking on the job is essential.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker / Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting high-quality custom cabinets and woodworking projects, ensuring precision and craftsmanship in every piece. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial applications, utilizing a variety of tools and techniques to produce durable and aesthetically pleasing cabinetry.

Duties



Interpret and work from detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to produce custom cabinetry. Measure, cut, assemble, and install cabinets using hand tools, power tools, and CNC machinery. Read and understand construction plans related to woodworking, restoration, or renovation projects. Perform finishing tasks such as sanding, staining, painting, or sealing to achieve desired aesthetics. Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure specifications are met accurately. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety standards.

Requirements



Proven experience in woodworking, cabinetry, or carpentry with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and other woodworking equipment. Knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, and construction painting is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on craftsmanship and quality control. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to various project requirements. Maintenance Person experience or background in restoration is desirable. Relevant certifications or training in carpentry or woodworking are advantageous. This position offers an engaging work environment where craftsmanship and precision are valued.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $26.00-$37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
