Overview
We are seeking an experienced cabinet maker for on-call work. The job will involve both on-site installations and at our business location. Our first preference is to hire someone who has their own tools necessary for cabinet installation. Additionally, the candidate should have their own Workers' Compensation Board (WCB)coverage.
Responsibilities:
Utilize hand and power tools to construct and assemble cabinets and furniture pieces. Install cabinets and fixtures, ensuring proper alignment and secure fittings. Perform woodworking tasks, including sanding, finishing, and restoration of cabinetry. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety standards.
Qualifications:
Proficient in hand tools and power tools for woodworking and carpentry tasks Strong understanding of construction techniques and processes Ability to read blueprints and schematics Experience in cabinet installation and restoration Knowledge of drywall, flooring installation, and tile laying Capable of heavy lifting and performing physical tasks Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship Valid driver's license preferred for site visits and material transportation
