Cabinet Installer Helper / Shop & Delivery Support (Hybrid Role)

Heart of Home Kitchen & Bath is seeking a reliable, motivated individual to join our team in a

full-time hybrid position

supporting cabinet installation, deliveries, and in-shop production. This role is ideal for someone with cabinet or construction experience who enjoys hands-on work, variety in their day, and continued skill development through

The primary function of this role is to assist our cabinet installers on job sites. Additional responsibilities include delivery driving, general shop labour, and assisting with cabinet production as required. This position supports multiple departments and plays a key role in ensuring projects are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.

Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesInstallation Support

Assist lead installers with cabinet installations on residential and commercial job sites Load, unload, and position cabinets and materials safely Read and follow basic floor plans and installation drawings Accurately measure using a tape measure and assist with layout Prepare job sites, tools, and materials as directed Maintain cleanliness and organization at job sites
Delivery & Transportation

Deliver cabinets and materials from the shop to job sites Pick up materials from suppliers and transport them back to the shop Secure loads properly and operate company vehicles safely and professionally
Shop & Production Support

Assist with cabinet building and general shop labour as required Operate power tools and shop equipment safely Assist with CNC machinery operation (training provided; prior experience an asset) Support various stages of cabinet production under supervision Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment
General Responsibilities

Follow all company safety procedures and policies Communicate clearly with installers, shop staff, and management Read and follow written instructions, work orders, and drawings Represent Heart of Home Kitchen & Bath professionally on job sites and during deliveries
Qualifications & RequirementsRequired

Cabinet, woodworking, construction, or related hands-on experience preferred Fluent spoken and written English, with strong reading and comprehension skills Proficient in reading a tape measure and basic floor plans Mechanically inclined with good problem-solving skills Ability to perform physical labour, including heavy lifting Proficient with common power tools Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a criminal record background check Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
Assets (Not Required)

Previous cabinet installation experience Experience operating CNC machinery Delivery driving or warehouse experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 50 per week
