The Opportunity: What You'll Do
Your primary focus will be on the finishing process, ensuring all our custom millwork meets our high standards for quality and aesthetics. Beyond finishing, you'll be a vital part of our production and installation process.
Expert Cabinet Finishing:
Prepare surfaces and apply stains, sealers, lacquers, and paints to achieve a perfect, smooth, and durable finish.
Color match and mix materials accurately.
Maintain and clean spray equipment and the finishing area.
Cabinet Manufacturing Assistance:
Assist our shop team with general cabinet construction, assembly, and prep work as needed.
Operate basic woodworking machinery safely (e.g., table saw, sanders, edge bander - training provided where necessary*).
Installation Support:
Assist our lead installer with loading, transporting, and on-site installation of custom cabinetry in client homes and businesses.
What We're Looking For: Your Qualifications
Proven Experience:
Minimum of
3
years of professional experience in cabinet or furniture finishing (spray application is a must).
Skills:
Strong working knowledge of various finishing materials (lacquer, conversion varnish, paint, stain) and techniques.
Attitude:
Reliable, punctual, and highly organized
. Must be a willing and positive team member.
Physical Requirements:
Able to lift heavy items, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks related to shop work and installation.
Transportation:
Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
