C++ Software Developer Intern

Safe Software is looking for a Software Developer Intern to join our Structured Data team. This is a four-month, full-time placement (with the possibility of an 8-month extension).
Our co-op placements provide opportunities for hybrid/on-premise work at our office in Surrey, BC, Canada. To ensure the best onboarding and mentorship experience, interns are required to work on-premise at least 2 days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remaining 3 days.

About The Team
The Structured Data team is responsible for the storage, processing, performance, and general management of large and small volumes of data in FME. This encompasses both spatial and non-spatial data. You'll work alongside software developers, QA analysts, and co-op interns in a collaborative environment focused on innovation and quality.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Software Developer Intern, Structured Data, you'll have the opportunity to:
Collaborate within a team of developers and QA members to deliver high-quality solutions.
Participate in daily stand-ups, design discussions, and technical meetings.
Write, debug, and maintain efficient C++ code.
Analyze issues and provide feasible resolutions.
Develop technical documentation for code implementation.
Test your code and create automated test cases.
Explore and apply new technologies relevant to planned features.
Learn and refine best practices for software development and algorithm design.
