Job Description

Position: .Net and TSQL Developer
Location: Remote
Job Type: Contract

Our client in the financial services industry is seeking a skilled Intermediate .Net and TSQL Developer to contribute to the programming and development efforts associated with core applications built and maintained in-house.

Essential Job Functions:

- Efficiently perform and document all development tasks in accordance with SDLC
- Collaborate closely with Senior Developers and the Application Manager to ensure accurate coding, testing, and implementation of development efforts
- Demonstrate technical proficiency in .Net, C#, and T-SQL, with a focus on working with complex SQL Stored Procedures
- Develop programming systems, making critical determinations about system performance
- Respond professionally to bug reports, reviewing and repairing legacy code as needed
- Conduct system analysis and development to keep systems current with evolving technologies
- Analyze, design, and coordinate the development of software systems to address information processing challenges
- Communicate effectively with technical peers, reviewing and understanding development documentation and solution requirements
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problematic programs, designing effective solutions
- Write, edit, and debug new computer programs for assigned projects, ensuring the production of a quality product
- Test new programs to guarantee correct logic and syntax, and accurate program results
- Consistently document code throughout the development process, including program descriptions, special instructions, and changes made in database tables
- Utilize available tools and equipment involved in programming functions, including measuring instruments
- Communicate programming needs and performance with the Application Manager, System and business analysts, and customer stakeholders
- Review and correct changes in code and the environment that impact system performance
- Provide training and technical support to peers for various projects

Knowledge and Experience:

- 5 to 7+ years of experience in writing and modifying software in languages such as Visual Basic 6.0, .NET, C#, T-SQL, with expertise in secure coding techniques
- Proven track record of software development expertise
- Good knowledge of mathematical and statistical principles and formulas
- Understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts, principles of routing, and client/server programming
- Working knowledge of .NET, C#, VB6, SQL database, SQL Scripts, compiler versions, and Visual Studio

Related Experience - Experience Level Desired:

- At least 5 to 7 years of total development experience
- At least 2 years of experience as a Mid-Level Developer
- 3+ years of experience in ARM, collections, insurance claims, or financial services
