Buyer/Expeditor who, under the direction of the Operations Manager, will primarily be responsible for sourcing and procuring goods and services, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring data accuracy across systems.

Job Duties include, but are not limited to:



Analyze purchasing needs based on sales orders and inventory levels and operational forecasts. Source, negotiate and procure goods, materials, and services in a timely and cost-effective manner Prepare and manage bids, RFQs, RFPs, and vendor documentation Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers Review and negotiate pricing, service agreements, and contract terms Monitor market trends and pricing fluctuations to inform purchasing strategies Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory documentation for all purchases Monitor supply levels and delivery schedules to proactively identify potential material shortage or delays and provide strategic recommendations to management and make alternate arrangements to minimize operational disruption. Advise teams and business units on lead times and procurement timelines to support planning Source, negotiate, and manage service level agreements, scope of work, and contract terms with service providers Investigate and resolve supplier quality issues in collaboration with the Quality team Process non-conformance reports (NCRs) and negotiate returns, credits, or replacements Verify vendor invoices and resolve billing discrepancies with professionalism and tact Coordinate deliverables from various departments to achieve production objectives Liaise with internal departments to maintain ERP system accuracy and data integrity Maintain appropriate and complete vendor documentation as required Ensure the strict confidentiality and privacy of financial data Act as a backup for other roles within the Operations team to ensure continuity

The Buyer/Expeditor must possess the following

:

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; Post-secondary degree or diploma preferred 3+ years of relevant experience in procurement, operations, or supply chain coordination Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
