Position


The

Buyer / Purchaser

is responsible for all purchasing functions to ensure materials are planned and sourced to meet the operational needs of the business. This role works collaboratively with production, scheduling, shipping, receiving, and accounting departments to ensure on-time delivery of quality parts and services to our customers

Responsibilities include:

Procuring materials, supplies, and services; following up on assigned requisitions. Preparing and issuing Requests for Quotations (RFQ's) to existing and new vendors. Conducting pricing discussions to achieve cost savings using negotiation, contract development, consignment agreements, volume rebates, payment terms, and other purchasing tools. Processing receiving paperwork. Establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors. Managing and maintaining the Material Resource Planning (MRP) system to ensure materials meet production schedules and proper stock levels are maintained. Monitoring and managing inventory klevels. Developing a strategic supplier base for key raw materials. Maintaining a high level of integrity and work ethic. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

College diploma or university degree in relevant field preferred. Minimum 1-year relevant experience. Proficiency in MS Office/Excel.
