JOB TITLE: Buyer

JOB LOCATION: Mine Site, approx. 88 kilometers northeast of Wawa, Ontario, Canada.

JOB TYPE: Full-time (4 days on / 3 days off rotation)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our organization is seeking a detail-oriented, resourceful, and experienced Buyer to join our dynamic team. The Buyer will be responsible for managing all aspects of the direct issue of material and services for our mine site. This includes being the main point of contact between our business units and the market for day-to-day activities. The successful candidate will also ensure that all supply chain components comply with health, safety, and environmental requirements and best practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

\xe2\x97\x8f Oversee all aspects of the supply chain, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements and best practices.

\xe2\x97\x8f Assist the Inventory Analyst in maintaining appropriate levels of materials.

\xe2\x97\x8f Send out Requests for Quotations (RFQ\xe2\x80\x99s) for inventory and Direct Issue orders.

\xe2\x97\x8f Place orders for consumables/reagents for the Mill.

\xe2\x97\x8f Support the Mill with Shutdowns as required.

\xe2\x97\x8f Coordinate with the inventory analyst and warehouse team to confirm that all deliveries satisfy the assigned purchase orders.

\xe2\x97\x8f Take responsibility for sourcing and ensuring all material and services are delivered on time.

\xe2\x97\x8f Expedite orders and manage outstanding Purchase Orders on a daily basis.

\xe2\x97\x8f Coordinate the daily deliveries for the full mine site.

\xe2\x97\x8f Handle customs clearance for international orders with brokerage.

\xe2\x97\x8f Assist with the creation of Contracts as needed.

\xe2\x97\x8f Collaborate with Accounts Payable to address any invoice discrepancies.

\xe2\x97\x8f Adhere to and enforce the organization\'s purchasing policy, procedures, and systems within the operations and its suppliers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

\xe2\x97\x8f Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in a relevant field.

\xe2\x97\x8f 3 - 5 years of experience in a similar role within mining or an industrial environment.

\xe2\x97\x8f In-depth knowledge of procure-to-pay supply management processes.

\xe2\x97\x8f Experience with business computer systems - ERPs (purchasing, expedite, warehousing, transportation, and inventory control).

\xe2\x97\x8f Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

\xe2\x97\x8f Proven ability to build trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is required to live in or relocate to the site area, which is approximately 88 kilometers northeast of Wawa, Ontario, Canada, and will work a rotation of 4 days on / 3 days off.
