Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Buyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the purchasing process, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely acquisition of materials and services necessary for our operations. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain management, procurement strategies, and effective supplier management to optimize costs while maintaining quality standards.

Duties

Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company objectives. Manage the purchasing process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely acquisition of goods. Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing. Conduct sourcing activities to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics, quality management, and production planning, to ensure alignment on material needs. Utilize ERP systems for procurement management and materials planning. Monitor supplier performance and conduct root cause analysis for any discrepancies or issues. Analyze market trends and pricing strategies to inform purchasing decisions.

Experience

Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment. Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract management. Familiarity with ERP systems is highly desirable. Knowledge of materials management, logistics, and quality management principles. Experience in category management and supplier relationship management is a plus. Understanding of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) processes and supply chain dynamics.
