Job Description

As a Buyer, you will play a critical role in our organization, responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, components, and equipment for our industrial chain, laser, and metal detector products. Your role encompasses negotiating with suppliers, inventory management, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials to support our manufacturing operations. Responsibilities include:

Sourcing and Supplier Management:



Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring effective communication and resolving any issues or disputes that may arise. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure the best value for the organization. Monitor supplier performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs) Continuously assess and evaluate supplier performance to ensure adherence to quality standards, delivery schedules, and contractual obligations.

Procurement Process:



Conduct detailed analysis of procurement requirements, including cost estimates, specifications, and timelines. Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with organizational policies and procedures. Monitor purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services, addressing any delays or issues proactively. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, such as finance, sale and operations, to ensure seamless integration of procurement activities with overall organizational goals. Monitor/maintain inventory levels including consignment stock levels at overseas factories. Correspond with vendors for RFQ's, ETA's and advise sales in a timely manner. Inventory adjustments and transfers. Coordinate annual inventory count - data input, recounts, adjustments. Maintain effective communication with internal teams, suppliers and carriers.

Logistics:



Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of products and materials. Issue Purchase Orders for freight and brokerage for shipments going to the U.S. Coordinate and manage all aspects of shipping and freight, including carrier selection, rate negotiation, and shipment tracking. Prepare shipping documents, such as bills of lading, commercial invoices, and export/import documentation. Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and hazardous materials handling procedures. Resolve any shipping-related issues, such as delays, damages, or customs clearance problems. Liaise with customs brokers for expediting of import/export shipments. Processing of documents for received Purchase Orders (incl. determining landed costing) Maintain delivery schedule and expedite shipping for "in/out" items for sales orders. Arrange freight (truck and courier) and provide customs documents for shipments going to the U.S. and shipments direct from overseas vendors.

Skills and Experience:



Diploma or Degree in a related field, or relevant experience. APICS certification or equivalent. Experience as a Buyer or in procurement roles, preferably in industrial manufacturing. Strong negotiation and communication skills. In-depth understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiations. Proficiency in procurement software and tools. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Knowledge of inventory management practices. Familiarity with supply chain regulations and industry standards.

Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
