Delmar Foods is a dynamic and growing food manufacturing company committed to delivering high-quality products to our customers. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer to join our procurement team and help ensure the timely and cost-effective sourcing of ingredients, packaging, and supplies.

Job Responsibilities:

Source and purchase raw materials, packaging, and other supplies required for production. Maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules. Monitor inventory levels and place orders to avoid shortages or overstock situations. Develop plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies. Evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities for cost savings and quality improvements. Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and logistics teams to ensure procurement aligns with operational needs. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier contracts. Stay informed about market trends, pricing fluctuations, and new supplier options. Work with team members and procurement manager to complete duties as needed.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

College diploma or university degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in a food manufacturing environment. Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policies, and systems. Excellent verbal negotiation and communication skills. Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Business Central ERP system. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions. Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels. Attention to detail and strong analytical skills. Goal-oriented, organized team player.

Hours of work:

Monday to Friday preferably 7:30 am to 4 pm (start time is negotiable)

In office position

Must have own transportation

Pay: $59,000.00-$62,000.00 per year
