Eaton is currently seeking a Buyer to join our EPC (Edmonton Power Centre) team. This position is based at our Edmonton, AB location.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $67,000 - $85,000 a year. You are also eligible for overtime compensation.

Position Overview:
Reporting to the product Supply Chain Manager, this position is responsible to maintain the existence of a cost-effective material and service supply line including MRO and Raw material that supports the manufacturing operation In the Edmonton Power Center (EPC).

In this function you will:
Maintain the existence of a cost-effective material and service supply line including MRO and Raw material that supports the manufacturing operation In the Edmonton Power Center (EPC).
Maintain purchase file integrity by providing price, availability, and lead-time and selection of suppliers from an approved list by comparing quotes to determine the best source.
Provide drawings and product specifications to suppliers as requested.
Setup files which include part description, revision, commodity codes, primary and or secondary supplier codes, unit price, price breaks, minimum order quantities, units of measure and lead time for stock and non-stock parts.
Negotiate with suppliers to build supplier partnerships, maximizing value added contributors.
Approve and complete final supplier selection by following supplier setup process.
Create and maintain purchase orders, and signed reports for SOX audits.
Update prices from quotes, invoices, acknowledgements, or supplier feedback on purchase orders placed.
Manage and maintain raw material ordering processes in EPC including rolling forecasts to suppliers and consignment process in EPC.
Maintain supply of MRO items, stock and customer orders, maintenance, and production items to meet production schedules.
Evaluate supplier performance based on material quality, on-time delivery performance and pricing.
Provide credit information, payment terms, terms and conditions, Supplier Excellence Manual, WISPER manual to new suppliers.
Communicate with FSC (Financial Service Center) to clear on hold invoices in timely manner to avoid supply interruptions or penalties.
Investigate MPV (material price variances) and provide accounting with findings.
Participate in EPC cost out program. Support cost reduction projects and improvement initiatives to achieve overall business objectives.
Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors to complete Eaton MESH documentation.
Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
3+ years University Degree, and/or PMAC Certificate in Purchasing.
3+ years in purchasing in a computerized MRP environment.
2+ years of Negotiation/Supplier Relationship experience.
Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 80 km of the work location to be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
Sound knowledge of products and systems, division purchasing, and accounting policies.
Advanced knowledge of purchasing techniques and supplier management with advanced computer skills especially in MS Office and database management.
CSSM/Query (AS400), Oracle, SAP, WISPER, Matrix are assets
