Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement sourcing and contract management strategies, guiding stakeholders through the procurement process including requests for documents (RFx), evaluations, negotiations, and the award process.
• Comply with procurement legislation, contracts, and company policies.
• Maintain documentation, adhering to the established company policies and procedures.
• Recommend strategic approaches for commonly procured items and services.
• Exercise independent judgment in procurement practices.
• Implement strategic actions for cost reductions.
• Foster and strengthen supplier relations, and evaluate contracts as required.
• Provide guidance, train, and mentor staff on procurement practices.

Qualifications:

• A diploma or bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in the supply chain, paired with Public Professional Buyer (CPPB) or Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation is a must.
• 5+ years of procurement experience in a large complex organization.
• CPPO certification is an asset.
• Familiarity with PeopleSoft Financials or equivalent.
• Previous experience in public sector purchasing, contract law, and trade agreements.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
