What We Need

Description

A buyer at HPD is expected to become an expert in our product lines and the inventory needs of our business so we can optimally service our customers.?This role combines analytical precision with relationship-building expertise to ensure that we have the right number of Moments of Fun (products) in the warehouse at the right time at the right cost.

Responsibilities

Procurement Strategy & Analytics:

Using sales data and collaboration with the account managers, forecast demand for products Collaborate with sales to create clearance strategies for slow-moving products and other promotions Maintaining an order review schedule for our vendors to ensure a consistent flow of Moments of Fun arrive to our warehouse
Vendor Relationship:

Maintain communication with our vendors to ensure a successful partnership for both them and us Help develop and maintain inventory budgets per manufacturer and overall inventory on hand Monitor and assess vendor performance and health, recommending improvement plans where feasible, or initiate product discontinuation when necessary
Product Management:

Ensure optimal pricing and margin performance Working with others on the team to ensure items on our website has the correct information and pictures Ensure PO's are up to date to provide our dealers with the most accurate information
Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Disseminate information from vendors to the relevant departments Having open conversations with other departments to understand how your decisions impact the team

Required Experience/Skills

3+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or vendor management Experience working in a business-to-business environment Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Power BI Passion for hobby products or interest in the RC and general hobby industry is a strong asset.

Pay: $64,480.00-$74,880.00 per year
