We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Meat Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, particularly in butchery and meat preparation. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for cutting, trimming, and preparing various types of meat products while ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to providing high-quality products to our customers and maintaining a clean and efficient work environment. Candidates are also expected to be comfortable with dealing with customer service.

Responsibilities

Cut, trim, and prepare meat products according to specifications and customer requests Ensure all meat handling practices comply with food safety regulations Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including tools and equipment Package meat products for display or sale while ensuring freshness and quality Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and assisting customers with their selections Collaborate with kitchen staff to fulfill specific orders or special requests Monitor inventory levels of meat products and communicate needs to management

Requirements

Proven experience in the food industry, particularly in food preparation or butchery Strong knowledge of meat cutting techniques and food handling practices Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Previous kitchen experience is preferred but not mandatory Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as needed
