We break and process everything in shop from bacon to sausages, pate, broths, value added products and more. Work with real chefs and butchers to learn valuable skills not easily found.

Summary

We are seeking a Butchery Assistant to join our team at Green's Organic Market in Canada. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining our commitment to quality by assisting with meat preparation and ensuring food safety standards are met. Your contributions will help us deliver the best products to our customers.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and cutting of meats according to specifications. Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly followed. Handle and package meat products for display and sale. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the butchery area. Support customer service efforts by answering questions about meat products. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations. Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock management.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a butchery or food preparation role is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and practices. Proficiency in meat cutting techniques. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Good communication skills for customer interaction. Experience with packaging and labeling food products is an asset. A passion for organic foods and healthy living.
