Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Butchery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices. This role involves assisting in the preparation, cutting, and packaging of various meats while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

Assist in the butchering and preparation of meats according to established standards. Perform meat cutting tasks, ensuring precision and adherence to safety protocols. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the butchery area, following food safety regulations. Package meats for display and sale, ensuring proper labeling and presentation. Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and assisting customers with their meat selections. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations within the kitchen environment. Monitor inventory levels of meat products and assist in restocking as needed.

Qualifications

Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in butchery or meat preparation, is preferred. Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential. Strong skills in meat cutting techniques and familiarity with various cuts of meat. Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Customer service skills with a friendly demeanor towards clients. Kitchen experience is a plus, contributing to an understanding of overall food preparation processes.
