Bus/Van Driver

The Vera Perlin Society is looking for a 15-passenger van/bus driver to transport clients to and from the Perlin Centre day program Monday-Friday. The successful candidate will be responsible for picking clients up in the morning and bringing them to the program and returning in the afternoon to bring the clients back home from the program. The preferred applicant will possess previous experience operating a 15-passenger van, preferably transporting individuals with intellectual disabilities, demonstrate safe driving practices, and have strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Client safety is of the utmost importance to us, and therefore the successful candidate will possess a clean Driver's Abstract, a Class 4 bus license with a minimum of 3-5 years of driving experience. It is an expectation that the successful candidate will obtain a Record of Conduct complete with a Vulnerable Sector Check, First Aid Certificate and a professional driver safety training course if not otherwise completed upon hiring.

The salary is $22 per hour based on 15-20 hours per week. Please note that only successful applicants will be contacted for the interview process. Preference for interviews will be given to those candidates whom have a valid record of conduct within 90 days of applying.
