Job Description
The Busser / Food Runner supports the front-of-house team by ensuring guest tables are clean, properly set, and promptly serviced. This role also assists servers by running food, and maintaining the food preparing area for a smooth and efficient guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests in a timely and accurate manner Clear and reset tables between guests according to restaurant standards Assist servers with guest service, including refills, extra plates, condiments, and utensils Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining room, expo line, and service stations Check dishes for proper presentation and accuracy before running to tables Remove dirty dishes, glassware, and utensils to designated areas Refill water, tea, and other non-alcoholic beverages as directed Assist with table setups for larger parties or peak times Communicate with kitchen and FOH staff to ensure smooth service flow Follow safety, food handling, and sanitation guidelines at all times Uphold company standards for hospitality, guest service, and teamwork Perform side work, cleaning duties, and closing tasks as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
Prior restaurant experience preferred but not required Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong teamwork and communication skills Ability to carry large trays safely (if applicable) Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry up to 30-40 lbs as needed Reliable, punctual, and customer-service minded Friendly, positive, and professional attitude
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week
