OverviewOur Real Property & Workplace services (RPWS) team is responsible for real estate, space planning, building operations and infrastructure, project management, sustainability, risk management, and workplace services to all our offices throughout the province. We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a motivated and action-oriented contributor to join our team as a Business Writer Coordinator.In this role, You\xe2\x80\x99ll be a team member of an integral unit in our RPWS team who will provide research, planning and implementation of variety of documents and interfaces to communicate our business strategies.This position is a temporary assignment for approximately 12 months.How you\xe2\x80\x99ll make a difference: As a Business Writer Coordinator, you\xe2\x80\x99ll use your project management experience and communication skills to deliver business goals and outcomes effectively and efficiently.At WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in one of our offices based on the operational needs of the position.In this role, you\xe2\x80\x99ll work in our Richmond office 3 days a week and from your B.C. home 2 days a week.What you\'ll doAs a business writer coordinator you will:

  • Coordinate the development and production of documents and digital communication hubs (e.g., Microsoft Teams, SharePoint), working closely with subject matter experts throughout the organization.
  • Communicate frequently and proactively with project group while utilizing project management tools to keep resources and stakeholders informed.
  • Create and manage documentation for resource development projects, including statements of work, project briefs, schedules, promotion and distribution plans, and status updates.

  • Independently coordinate, prioritize, and monitor multiple projects in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines and sometimes shifting priorities.
  • Organize and schedule people and resources to develop realistic action plans to meet project targets, while considerating time constraints and resource availability.
  • Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, using plain language and standard spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Ensure required documentation is completed thoroughly, accurately, and in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain consistency with established workflow processes and editorial and brand standards.
  • Develop and maintain effective and respectful working relationships.
  • Facilitate discussions, motivate and influence others, in a constructive and respectful manner, in order to meet departmental objectives.
  • Anticipate, recognize and evaluate issues; research, analyze and synthesize information, identify alternatives and apply judgment to achieve creative solutions and recommendations.
Your background and experience
  • A diploma or degree in business or a related field such as communications, journalism, or English.
  • A minimum of two years\xe2\x80\x99 recent experience in project management or coordination (experience with publishing projects is an asset).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 product family.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
