The North Bay Regional Health Centre (NBRHC) is seeking a proactive and analytical Business Systems
Analyst to join our Information Technology Services (ITS) team. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer
and collaborating closely with ITS leadership, this role will play a key part in driving digital transformation,
optimizing business processes, and supporting key ITS initiatives that enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Analysis & Improvement:
o Understand and document business processes, challenges, and proposed changes to
identify opportunities for improvement.
o Assess workflows, document inefficiencies, and recommend process improvements based on
data-driven insights.
o Work with stakeholders to streamline processes and ensure seamless integration of IT-
enabled solutions across the organization.
Data Analytics & Reporting:
o Utilize data analysis tools to identify trends and provide meaningful insights for informed
decision-making.
o Generate reports, create dashboards, and analyze datasets to support ITS objectives.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
o Work closely with cross-functional teams to align ITS initiatives with organizational goals,
reduce redundancies, and enhance operational effectiveness.
o Facilitate collaboration between departments to ensure the effective implementation of ITS
solutions.
Project Support:
o Support ITS projects from initiation to completion by providing analytical insights, tracking
progress, and ensuring alignment with hospital objectives.
o Assist in defining project scope, monitoring milestones, and providing data-driven support to
help managers keep projects aligned with timelines and budget considerations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Certification/Experience/Knowledge:
A degree or diploma in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a
related field.
At least 3 years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, or ITS-related roles, preferably
in a healthcare or enterprise setting.
Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean) is an asset.
Experience with healthcare information systems is an asset.
Skills/Abilities
:
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proficiency with data analysis, reporting, and project management tools.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities.
Strong ability to collaborate, communicate, and manage relationships at all levels of the
organization.
Ability to support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events
required.
Bilingualism (Advanced level English/French) is an asset.
Criminal Reference Check including the Vulnerable Sector Check recent within six (6) months is a
requirement
