Job Summary:

Reporting to the IT Manager, the Business Systems Analyst is responsible for working with all business units to understand business process requirements and assisting the IT Department in developing new applications or maintaining existing applications. The Business Systems Analyst shall maintain a good understanding of business processes, elicit requirements, document functional and non-functional requirements, assist in application architecture, unit and integration testing, application change request and defect resolution management, and user training of new applications or application enhancements.

Position Responsibilities:

The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for the following:

Acts as the liaison between business teams and the IT department for all current and new business systems development and enhancements; Involved in the creation of business project charter documents; Learn and understand current business processes at Allseating. Proactively learn new business processes as they are embraced at Allseating; When called upon, elicit business process requirements/user requirements and document them for decision-making and approval. Output documents, not limited to business requirements documentation (BRD) and requirements specifications documentation; Lead requirement gathering sessions; Analyse current business processes and suggest optimizations; Generate use cases, data flow diagrams, sequence diagrams, flow charts, etc.; Assist in translating business requirements to IT developer/s; Assist in application architecture and unit testing; Provide user training for new applications and application enhancements; Manage the application change request process; Manage the application defect resolution process; Manage the ERP month-end and year-end processes; Maintaining a clean work environment; and Other duties as required.

Job Requirements:

Must have worked in a similar role within an IT department; Must have good customer service skills; Must demonstrate a high level of competency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.); Must be capable of delivering results through problem-solving and conflict resolution. Must demonstrate strong attention to detail, time management, prioritization, and follow-up skills. Must have the ability to work on multiple, complex tasks with little or no direct supervision; Must have professional solid business communication skills, both verbal and written.

Minimum Qualifications:

Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science is preferred; Certification/s in Business Analysis are desirable assets; example IIBA certification; Five years or more of Business Systems Analyst-related work experience is required; Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile Software Development methodologies are assets; Familiarity working with ERP/MRP systems is preferred; Knowledge of application testing methodologies is an asset; and Project management experience and skills is an asset.

Work Environment:

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
