Story Behind the Need:

• Business group: GWWRT (Global Wholesale Wealth Risk Technology) - Collateral Mgmt. & Funding - support the collateral management funding (CMF) desk and will be mainly supporting Anvil.
• Project: GWWRT - Collateral Mgmt. & Funding is seeking a Capital Market Business Analyst to work with the Anvil 9 platform. Working with the Vendor ION for the New York Business on report order management automation.
• Reason for request: New project

Typical Day in Role:

• The main function of a Business Analyst is to perform the analysis, design, implementation, modification, and daily functional support of all applications
• Works with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies
• Gathers requirements from business units and translates those to programmers and developers
• Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities
• Supports one or more highly complex business processes
• Works on multiple projects as a project team member
• Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs
• Design and implementation of the settlements system migrations
• Settlements systems are directly connected to old versions of anvil
• The BA will design, implement, test, etc on the solution to have Anvil 9 connect directly to settlement systems
• Phase 3 will be working on downstream analysis
• Defining scope for downstream impacts

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

• 10+ years of experience in a similar BA, Technical BA or related role
• 7+ years of experience with Capital markets related projects. (Fixed Income/ Repo preferred)
• 5+ years of experience with SQL queries
• IT/Technical background or projects. EX: Previous work as Tech BA, QA, Tech Analyst or projects

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• ION - Anvil Platform experience is a nice to have
• Possibly in capital managements, cash markets fixed income world is where they likely will have had it
• Fixed income experience
• Experience with third party trading platforms (ION)
• Knowledge of the fixed income / repo / collateral management

• Self-starter that actively engages issues seeking resolution, ability to meet dynamic changes on prioritization
• Excellent communications skills to coordinate with high ranking individuals internally
• Ability to manage assigned tasks and expectations without direct instruction or oversight
• Fast, adaptable learner who can hit the ground running
• Ability to work well under pressure while demonstrating strong professionalism
• Strong investigation, prioritization, and organization skills
• Candidate must have an open mind when it comes to approach, and be able to assess each situation separately
• Must be able to collaborate closely with a team at times, while also being capable of holding themselves accountable to meet individual deadlines without hand holding

Degrees or certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required

Candidate Review & Selection:

• 1 interview with HM & Tech Lead, video conference
• Possible 2nd interview with Director or Project Manager
