As a Business Strategist, you will provide comprehensive strategic planning expertise and project management support to Fleet and Inventory. In this position, you will ensure the business unit meets legislative and regulatory requirements, navigates complex and emerging issues, plans and manages priority projects, and advances continuous improvement initiatives. You will support divisional planning and performance, enabling Fleet and Inventory to deliver on its strategic mandate and identified One Calgary priorities. Primary duties include:
Develop strategies, plans, policies, and frameworks for priority business goals and objectives in collaboration with cross-functional teams within Fleet and Inventory and the Corporation.
Facilitate discussions with senior leaders to plan for and respond to emerging business issues and strategic challenges.
Lead or support strategic projects from initiation through to completion balancing constraints to achieve project and strategic objectives.
Ensure projects are executed within scope, schedule, budget, and quality parameters.
Develop incremental and sustainable improvements to business systems and processes to increase organizational efficiency and effectiveness, while enhancing innovation and adaptability of service delivery.
Make strategic recommendations to senior leaders, identify opportunities and trends, and develop strategies to mitigate risks and realize efficiencies.
Conduct financial research and analysis to support senior leaders to make informed decisions.
