Our team members have what they need to make a meaningful impact and are truly valued for who they are and what they contribute.To learn more about CIBC, please visitWhat You'll Be DoingThe Business Specialist, Private Banking Credit reports to the Director, Private Banking Credit and has the responsibility of proactively identifying, advising on and rectifying documentation & due diligence deficiencies in approved real estate secured loans (RESL) in Private Banking across Canada. The goal is to help achieve the Bank-wide Lending Due Diligence goals. Stakeholders including Private Banking frontline and leaders; Wealth Risk Management; Personal Lending; and Retail Operations.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.How Youll SucceedAnalytical Support- Review new Private Banking credit files, to ensure compliance to lending guidelines and established timelines. Review new credit files using several applications and systems. Using company policies and processes, effectively make decisions and action appropriately, or escalate when necessary. Work with CIBC Private Banking employees to validate and gather income documentation or information, when required. Make recommendations regarding loan/line status.Teamwork and Partnering- Work with CIBC partners to complete investigation and reach a resolution or escalate when required. Advise appropriate parties, via email, of lending due diligence errors, based on information gathered from review and according to guidelines.File Management- Capture information, document actions taken and update relevant databases. Keep informed of all changes to documented procedures, rules, and regulations to ensure accurate file management.Who You AreYou can demonstrate experience in CIBC principles, policies, and procedures to quickly and accurately action lending files. Working knowledge of retail lending application policies and procedures to effectively identify data integrity and due diligence issues. Working knowledge of CIBC computer applications, including COINS CLASS, Excel and Outlook, COMPASS, LCMS. Fraud or loss prevention experience from a retail environment is an asset.
