Provide Front-line Level One support for our financial Community with respect to trading, company distributions, corporate actions, compliance, product support and database administration. The Business Operations Analyst will work within a small cross-functional team to provide excellent client service and support for Listed Companies, Participating Organizations and Data Product clients. The ideal candidate is passionate about marketdata, corporate actions, compliance and governance, quality assurance and thrives on providing a high level of customer service. The Business Operations Analyst will report to the Manager of Business Operations and Compliance of the TSX Equity Market Services Division and will work closely within the Equities Trade Desk and Market Solutions Teams.

Key Accountabilities

• Administration and front line support of our Listed Issuers specific to Listed Company Reporting requirements such as Company distribution declarations.
• Ensure prompt and accurate processing of Company distributions by maintaining high standards of stewardship through an effective client-focused approach.
• Maintenance of daily Corporate Actions, Trading and Company Distributions with a high degree of accuracy and stewardship
• Maintain daily Trading Engine updates and reconciliations through the competent use of various systems and applications with the skillful ability to accurately interpret and understand bulletin entries
• Contribute to ongoing departmental Compliance requirements through the use of regularly scheduled reviews, updates and maintenance
• Responsible for the record keeping, administration and reporting of Financial and Trading Statistics press releases
• Quality assurance of daily, Monthly and annual electronic TMX products, publications and with different reporting requirements
• Assist in the Compliance and Governance of Equity Market Operations
• Maintain TSX Company Earnings, including receiving Earnings statements, updating internal databases and reconciling Company discrepancies
• Flexible Team player with the ability to work cooperatively and regularly interact within Equities Trade Desk, Market Solutions, Listed Services, CDS, Public Relations, Participating Organizations and Investment Industry Regulatory Organization etc.
• Provide fair and impartial guidance, direction and administration for Listed Issuers as per Company Manual, other market places, traders and general public
• Conduct research with an attention to detail and the ability to respond to ad hoc queries and requests within a fast-paced dynamic environment
• Ability to work flexible shifts within 7:30-5:30pm in a hybrid environment

Skills and Experience:

• Post-secondary education in Commerce, Business Administration or Applied Arts/Sciences with a propensity to learn within a team driven environment
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Good communication and reconciliation skills
• Strong team and organizational skills with an attention to details
• Proficiency in Spreadsheet software and PC software systems
• Motivated learner and team player
• Completion or enrolment in Canadian Securities Course would be an asset
• Preferably 3-5 years of related securities industry experience/knowledge in an operations environment
