The opportunity

Reporting to the Director- Customer Success, CDN Retail Operations, the Business Intelligence Manager plays a key part in supporting the success of Canadian Retail Operations, under the Global Wealth Asset Management (GWAM) Group

As a Business Intelligence (BI) Manager, you\'ll play a critical role in helping Operations teams make data-driven decisions, set objectives, and improve processes and performance. By developing powerful data visualization and analysis tools, you\'ll provide stakeholders with the ability to zoom in and zoom out on the data, uncovering both granular details and high-level trends.

Your expertise in data analytics and visualization, combined with your strong leadership and project management skills, will enable you to harness the power of data to drive growth, optimize operations, and ultimately deliver exceptional value to the customer. You\'ll also be responsible for finding creative solutions to complex problems, always with the customer at the forefront of your thinking.

To succeed in this role, you\'ll need a background in previous data analytics and visualization roles, as well as project management. You should be proficient in data management, architecture, BI tools and possess good communication skills to clearly articulate complex data insights to both technical and non-technical partners. Overall, you should demonstrate a passion for driving growth and delivering exceptional value to the customer.

Responsibilities:

The BI manager is responsible for designing and implementing data models that can be used to analyze data in a meaningful way. This may involve working with data scientists, data analysts, and other members to develop models that can be used to generate insights.

Developing and implementing data visualization tools: The BI manager is responsible for developing and implementing data visualization tools that can be used to communicate insights to partners. This may involve working with executives, managers, and other internal clients to understand their requirements, needs and priorities.

Managing and developing the data governance model, including defining data policies and standards, establishing data ownership, developing data management processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and developing data training and awareness programs.

The manager is also responsible for developing the analytical tools that will power the performance dashboards. This may involve developing custom algorithms or using pre-built tools to analyze the data and generate insights.

Develop and manage the team\xe2\x80\x99s intake process for enhancement and ADHOC requests. Central point of contact for customers, inside & outside CDN Retail Operations, on relevant data demands.

Based on Customer requirements conduct ADHOC analytics and report requests to be used for performance and business case purposes.

All testing and warranty, associated with the BI team\xe2\x80\x99s work.

What we are looking for

Excellent knowledge of Data Structure, Power BI and Business Intelligence tools.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite Tools (Excel, PPT, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).

Proficiency in database and query language (e.g., SQL) and data analysis.

Proven analytical and statistical competency.

Strong customer engagement skills.

Good communication skills \xe2\x80\x93 both verbal and written.

Strong demonstrated ability using data to create visual stories.

Experience working with low code/ no code tools to develop data solutions including Power tools such as Power Apps, Power Automate, among others - is an asset.

Familiarity with BI tools and techniques to drive improved visualizations and preferred practices.

Understanding of Investments and Securities Operations system (AWD, iFast, DataPhile, Salesforce, etc.) is an asset.

Good teammate with a high commitment to quality work and service.

Ability to collaborate with and influence your partners, build strong relationships, and effectively communicate ideas and recommendations to all levels of the organization (Ability to work directly with senior management).
