Description and Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Developer to join our Enterprise Business Intelligence team. Reporting to this team, you will work collaboratively with IT and business teams to aid in the design and development of analytic solutions.

As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will translate business requirements into detailed database requirements in the overall enterprise data warehouse architecture, design ETL applications, and ultimately deliver fully automated solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design ETL applications using SSIS or Azure Data Factory (ADF) or Synapse pipelines to extract data from disparate systems and ingest it into a cloud-based enterprise data warehouse.
• Analyze business requirements, conduct technical feasibility analyses, and implement data solutions to fulfill business intelligence reporting needs.
• Design multi-dimensional data models using Power BI to support analytical and enterprise decision-making processes.
• Optimize back-end architecture and data models to improve system performance and user experience.
• Monitor production operations, including BI systems and applications health and tuning, troubleshoot any data issues or job failures, and promptly solve or escalate problems (if necessary) to minimize the impact on business operations.
• Manage Power BI database users and security and provide exceptional support to resolve production issues promptly.
• Plan and execute User Acceptance Tests on behalf of the business for new releases or bug fixes delivered from application vendors.

Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, or a related field; Master\'s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in designing and developing ETL solutions using SSIS or Azure Data Factory (ADF) or Synapse pipelines.
• 3+ years of experience in designing multi-dimensional data models using Power BI.
• Strong technical proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Azure technologies (Azure SQL DB, Data Factory, Synapse).
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to assess multiple data sources or business needs and recommend an appropriate course of action.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to determine the root cause and prevent future occurrences.
• Proven team player, who is comfortable participating in various multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and solid interpersonal and customer service skills, including the ability to interface with various stakeholders, advocate change, and influence outcomes in areas without any direct responsibility.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple and frequently changing priorities.
• Ability to quickly identify, troubleshoot, isolate, and resolve any bottlenecks due to application or database issues, and to quickly act on alerts generated by the system.
